Comte-Sponville: A Small Treatise on the Great Virtues

The more that Aristotle writes about virtues, the more I am reminded of the title of the book by André Comte-Sponville: A Small Treatise on the Great Virtues. A book – I will admit – that I have not (yet) read but which I’m now curious to discover.

Book Description from Amazon [my addition]:

A Small Treatise takes us on a tour of the eighteen essential virtues: [love, politeness,] fidelity, prudence, temperance, courage, justice, generosity, compassion, mercy, gratitude, humility, simplicity, tolerance, purity, gentleness, good faith, and even, surprisingly, humor.
